Very unlucky indeed. I was however more fortunate. My £5 each-way on "Clive", a very lovely Musteloidea who resides with his owner, John Craven, in Wickham Market, paid handsomely at odds of 25/1. His 3rd place finishing position and performance was queried by the stewards as he had finished a remote 11th at Westerfield only 7 days prior, but the owners explanation that the track was more suitable to his stride length was considered and accepted. | |

I did fancy Clive for a good each way bet yeah. I think he struggled at Westerfield due to the soft going not being ideal for him. Oh well, here's hoping for better luck in the Needham Market Classic. | |
