An amazing night at PR. 00:26 - Jul 12 with 4647 views | SitfcB | My fourth Ed gig and they just get better each time. He knows how to put on a show and it’s mostly just all him!! This will go down as the best one because of the setting. Stadium looked magnificent, happy people everywhere. Even got to serenade KM with his song at the end as he made his exit from the directors box. Group consisted of my 50 year old Mum, 69 year old Nanna, 28 year old sister, 7 year old son and 9 year old niece so a wide variety of ages which is a common thing at his gigs because he literally caters for everyone, think it’s brilliant but crazy at the same time how someone can have that reach. You’re in for special nights if you’re attending over the next two. If you have any questions about anything then happy to answer best I can.

Not sure really as I was being moaned at for being too tall on the way back from the bar by some miserable old women wanting to experience it through their phones. Also it was a little disappointing hearing Ed winging on about his court cases rather than leading a rousing chorus of "Death, death to the IDF" or even a simple "Free, free Palestine" but it is what it is as you young folk say!

An amazing night at PR. on 01:00 - Jul 12 with 3537 views | mrfixit426 | I have a question. I bought three tickets through the season ticket promotion. I've cleared with them that my wife can take my ticket with my two girls. Anyway......There's been lots of talk about traffic Armageddon, but 30k people turn up every other week for league games and I've never had a problem. I plan to bring them in early and grab some food (we don't get to go out as a family too often), IS THE TRAFFIC THAT BAD? Match days I've never had a problem. A lot of people are going to be in hotels for this gig etc How was your experience?

Don’t think it helps with the bridge works at the moment. But it wasn’t that bad in some places of town, think the one way system was snarled up a bit. If you’re getting in early enough with plenty of time shouldn’t be a problem. What direction are you coming in from?

Wivenhoe/Colchester. I was going to swerve the A12/A14 and come the back way through Manningtree and into town through Wherstead Road.

I’d probably do the same if you’re heading in early enough as know the A12 has been backing up at Copdock but then it moves quite quick. Being a Saturday it won’t be as bad. Just give yourself plenty of time. Gates open at 16:30 but there’s no panic or need to get there for then.

I'm having a 'business meeting.' Potential clients. Do you need any visual effects for your independent or Hollywood funded move/tv series?

To actually answer your question......bill your drinks to my table. I always liked your contributions to this board. We'll be the ones with a girl in a pink kit, a disinterested wife, another teenage girl (Hayley from Modern Family) and a boy embarrassed to be there. Nice.

An amazing night at PR. on 09:15 - Jul 12 with 2420 views | CaptainAhab | first time seeing him, great night! I'm not particularly a fan of his music, although obviously love the guy for everything he's done for the club and area. Even the biggest cynic would have to admit the guy's got huge talent, what a songwriter and the way he builds the show with just a guitar and a loop pedal is seriously impressive. He looked genuinely emotional at the end too, what a homecoming.

Anyone planning the Manningtree route Saturday, just bear in mind the Tendring Show is at Lawford so round Cox's Hill and Manningtree railway station will be very busy late afternoon, it jams up every year without Ed traffic.

Yes if you’re standing, couple of big beer tents either end of SBRL pitchside serving bottles of Carlsberg that hardly ever had any queues. I got a few pints of Aspalls easily enough in the SBRL bars/self serve machines. The trouble with the SBRL bars initially is people probably don’t realise they can head over to the fanzone from there upon entering the SBR pitch standing turnstiles so snarls up a bit.

Can standing tickets wander in and out of fanzone throughout?

Yes you get a wristband upon entering the turnstiles. There’s a set up outside in Portman Road as well you can get to, loads of porta-loos and a burger bar. Also have access to unreserved lower tier seating.

An amazing night at PR. on 10:30 - Jul 12 with 1911 views | BlueOura | Agreed, Ed was very good and certainly knows how to work a crowd. I was really impressed with his sheer energy and stamina, nealy 2.5 hours and close to 30 songs. I took my kids to see Lana Del Rey recently and she performed only 15 songs and while her voice sounded good, she hardly spoke or interacted with the audiance at all. There is a lot of snobbery around sheerans music and it seems to be cool to dismiss it as 'bland' etc. If I am being honest he is not somebody I would listen to at home on a regular basis but I can still appeciate that he is a talented boy, a great songwriter and a brilliant performer. Enjoy if you are going tonight or Sunday. I don't think you will be disappointed. [Post edited 12 Jul 10:32]

An amazing night at PR. on 11:09 - Jul 12 with 1754 views | SitfcB | A little bit for standing tickets, some are allocated for turnstiles 21-23 of the Cobbold, massive massive queue. I spoke to a steward and said there’s no queues at the SBR or West Stand turnstiles for standing can we try there and he said yeah try it, we had nothing to lose so did it and gone in via SBRL turnstiles.

An amazing night at PR. on 11:14 - Jul 12 with 1733 views | Meadowlark | I sent all my tickets back a couple of days ago. I was only going cos I could get the tickets for the family, then people started dropping out, so I cut my losses. Ticketmaster tell me it takes up to 17 working days to refund me!! All the tickets were snapped up very quickly. I'm glad you all enjoyed it, pictures online look great, but not my cup of tea.
