Walton 15:56 - Dec 11 with 840 viewsMetal_Hacker

A lot's been said about various players and not much about Walts

Two clean sheets on the bounce and a couple of others along the way Hull , Wrexham WBA

I saw Palmer on the pitch after the game and got me thinking , what happens when Palmer is 100% ?

Surely we keep Walton between the sticks ?

Will it be wait until Walton makes a ricket and swap straight away or ......

For me Walton has been superb

Walton, as any player in form, deserves his place. Palmer must wait. Hopefully won't be needed as that means Walton is having a blinding season.

Walton stays, just like Hladky stayed when he got his chance.

From a man-management point of view, the gloves have to be Walton's to lose.

Given how other players have come in and stayed (Kipre and Hladky spring to mind) I can't imagine that McKenna would do anything other than keep him between the sticks.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Walton has been great recently. Two worldy saves against Cov and otherwise really solid, decent with the ball at his feet too.
Will definitely keep his place, I'd imagine it would take some Muric level calamities or injury for Palmer to be back in any time soon.

You got the answer last night. If Palmer wasn’t ready he wouldn’t have been on the bench. Walton is now No.1 and the shirt is his to lose.

No brainer. His to lose.

IIRC, Walton lost his spot to Hladky due to injury, and Hladky's performance earned him the #1 shirt. If KMK then says to Walton, "Sorry, new rules, Palmer's in," then I would expect Walton to hand in a transfer request.

He's performed really well. He's earned the #1 shirt.

Not only is he good at shot stopping he actually catches the ball than punches, his weakness has always been distribution but I think his other attribute make up for this
