Was Enciso the one who fell over a lot? 14:49 - Aug 12 with 2761 viewsChris_ITFC

Genuine question. I try not to get too attached to loan players.

He’s the one who refused to pass to anybody, ever. And used to shoot when he was on corners.

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

I see. I remember him being decent and fun to watch, but not for the kind of sums I’m seeing.

And scored one of the finest goals we’ve seen from a Town player in years, and had a World Cup campaign which indicated he’s grown a lot as a player.

Sarmiento was the one who fell over a lot, including during the moment he’s best known for

He did have a tendency to fall over but I think that was because he was so keen to constantly shoot, that he kept going side to side to find a shooting position and sometimes that caused him to fall over.

Hopefully that poor decision making has been eradicated.

Think it was more to do with us not having much of the ball in attack which led to the decision making of shoot on sight!

He had 3 assists, ahead of everyone in the team apart from Jack Clarke on 4, and he played a fraction of our games.

He also scored two goals, and was only 21 at the time.

And anyone who was there at Everton can't fail to love him.

Indeed, it is his signing that has excited me the most, particularly given his play in the World Cup.

And when it comes to energy and passion, he is like Sarmiento on speed.

I think he just likes to shoot.

He did hold the PL record of most number of shots by an individual in the first half of a game, 8, when Brighton played Brentford. Not sure if he still holds that record

lol, you’re not wrong. And a big fan of the attempted worldie from 35 yards (which ocassionally came off).

I’m assuming he’s matured/improved (will need to for the PL) , but the raw talent was obvious last time he was here.

You make an excellent defence - but I wasn’t attacking him!

Players like that just frustrate me, as it kills momentum, and the refs just get paranoid about their reputation. Delap was similar for fouling. Joe Garner springs to mind too!

Think it will suit him to be indisputably the main man and playing centrally this time. He was a bit more peripheral when Hutchinson was in the team.

Not any more than hutch. Philogene or clarke

Problem was we had a whole forward line including delap who never passed the ball.

The best player technically I have ever seen play for us. I know it wasn't many games but the control he had over the football was unbelievable.

I think Enciso doing what Enciso wants to do is one of his positives, its just sometimes a player needs to think 'I'll pass it'

Brighton fans loved him for his maverick style, but even they lost some of that following a Leicester 95th min corner the ball came to him and he decided to try and beat the entire Leicester team on his own 18yrd line to start a counter attack, obviously it failed and Leicester scored.

I don’t think there can be many that have fallen over as much as Azon did. He also seemed to finish every run or move on the floor

There is a reason for that. He was head and shoulders above anyone else we had.

You could see when he came in he was a class above anyone but Delap.

Yep his first game as soon as he got on the ball he looked way better than all of our other players. Except maybe tuanzebe.

His highlights from last year look like he has really grown as a player.
