As was elsewhere Friday and Saturday so had the watch the match this morning.
Apart from the 10 minute brain fart at the beginning I thought we were great following that.
The 24/25 team could have been onto an absolute hiding, We look a far stronger prospect this time around. The next 3 league games will be vital, and winnable. |  |

Yup, I’ve been surprised at some of the reaction to the game really. Don’t get me wrong, the game was done early doors, but thought for the rest of the game we was good value and played well.
Just need to sharpen up in both boxes, but we’ll absolutely pick up points playing like that - as we’ve shown against Sunderland already.

Yup, I’ve been surprised at some of the reaction to the game really. Don’t get me wrong, the game was done early doors, but thought for the rest of the game we was good value and played well.

The reaction to the game and GONs post match have been a little strange for me.
But not surprising.
Around me on Friday night, lots of fans had gone into a full moan fest following our poor first 10mins. No way they then looked at the game subjectively.
There was a lot of good in our play, after the two goals. And a surprising robustness in the back 4, despite some scary moments.
I do think GON ‘gilded the Lilly’ somewhat in his presser - but he had clearly seen things he liked. And he’s hardly going to be negative about 70mins of the performance.
We need the fans engaged. And I think we’ll need a decent PPG run rate to achieve that. Starting with the next two games. |  |

I think we were decent after that 10 mins without creating clear cut chances. But with the nagging feeling that Liverpool were holding what they had and could step it up again.

I thought his post match interview after Manchester United was brilliant, hitting the mark perfectly. I don't think the same can be said about Liverpool. He was right to be pleased about the fight we showed, but other parts seemed slightly excessive. | |

Yes, Liverpool took their foot off the gas a little but we looked very solid for the most part and had our threatening moments which should give us a lot of belief.
We look a totally different proposition this time round, despite the last two losses we looked very competitive and stand a decent chance of survival.

We got in behind the Liverpool right back 4 times with Davis in the second half, every time he either hit the first man or his ball into the box was crap. Ultimately, Liverpool at 75% will be a lot better than 12 or so teams in this division at 100% and we played well against it.
I don’t think there’s been anything wrong with his interviews so far. Hit the nail on the head pretty much all 3 times he’s spoken after league games. | |

Clarke ? That firm shot that Diop inadvertently deflected wide - I think that was goal bound and probably beyond the reach of Allison otherwise.
Enciso also found room at the edge of the penalty area to try and curl one in, a few metres wide but hardly looked like a pass back to their keeper. |  |
