killing our club - rise up and protest at Portman Road or prepare ultimately for League One football.

Town have endured ten years of tripe from a man with no vision, ambition, passion or understanding of Ipswich Town.

Evans has though given Town the following: lowest crowds since the 90s, lowest finish in 58 years, record levels of debt and a succession of dire managers.

How much more shyte must we endure before the penny drops? It's quite extraordinary that fans still try and defend the utter horror of his tenure.

Banners and protests songs are the order of the day, only when Marcus Evans is kicked out of Town will there be any hope for our football club.

Whats your suggestion? Should he pay £30m plus per season for an indefinite period? Is there a reason he should?

Just how entitled are you?

We are stuck with Evans and he's stuck with us. The idea that he's somehow aloof is ridiculous. You think he's happy he owns ITFC? He'd bite the right buyer's fooking arm off.

Football is fooked. ITFC is fooked. We are collateral damage. In fifty years time it will make fook all difference. At least we had a go back in the day. A footnote in history, when footie wasn't a corporate/State controlled business beginning middle and end.

Oh Benters you old sod you. I'll join you in a protest if you organise it.

Honestly, what's the point? Treat is as you say as a day for having a laugh.

I've never felt so disillusioned as a Town buh. Part of it is to down to the fragmented support base. Cos identity is very important in football, and when the fans are split identity collapses. But you know what... I'm already looking forward to the Leeds game.

Glutton for punishment.

It's not an issue of entitlement - simply an issue of measuring the club's performance against a number of standard benchmarks since Evans took over.

Take this for example - over the last 10 years of Evans ownership, all spent in the second tier of English football, we have managed just one top 6 finish.

No period in Town's history corresponds to that level of failure since we played in the Third Division South back in the 1950s.

Oh but football has changed you cry - so much so that the top flight is occupied by giants of the game including Bournemouth, Watford and Swansea.

If your sense of entitlement is in that ballpark then either you work for the Marcus Evans Group or you support Norwich.

Oh good, a sack the Owner thread.

Better put the advert in the EADT for a new Owner before you sack this one though because there might be a problem with further shortfall in cash if there is much time lapse between sacking ME and appointing the new Owner.

No it's a please sell our club Marcus Evans thread because you haven't got a clue what you're doing and you are softly killing a football club you secretly wish you'd never bought and that you anyway wish was called Chelsea ...

However if you wish to portray this thread as a pitchfork straw chomping populist dig at the status quo then hey-ho good for supercilious you.

What a ridiculous post. The league the club now operates in is utterly different to the past. That era is gone, and will not return without massive investment, an extraordinary young manager and crop of young players, or a sea change in the league setup.

Bournemouth were bankrolled to an extent AND had a pretty extraordinary young manager. They got into the prem, before the massive deal kicked in and the gap got so much bigger- as it is now. Swansea have been there for some time.

The recent TV deal simply made the gap even bigger. We now have a league where bog standard prem players costs 20m.

Stop spouting tired cliches to justify a culture of failure.

People were saying football has changed irrevocably back in the 80s and 90s when Town were relegated.

And sorry who exactly bankrolled the top flight return of Palace, Burnley and Huddersfield? No-one is the answer - but they all had owners at the time of promotion who care passionately about their football club.

Town's plight is not an immutable law of nature ... it's the product of chronic mismanagement at the top.

Indeed our time has gone, the future (outside the premier at least) is for forward looking clubs on the up such as Lincoln and Luton if either of them keep it going. The owner isn’t going to be changing so the only hope of getting anywhere without serious investment at least above the current level is a change of manager, set up etc. It’s a gamble, but without it we slowly sink.

Not a single cliche in there. You, however, start with a ridiculous cliche about "culture of failure".

So... having given up on the first three examples you used, you've gone for three more. Palace have been up for some years- bad example. Burnley have an exceptional young manager. They also spent, in 14/15 nearly 10m. £13,500 the next year. Huddersfield are possibly the only club to not fit this pattern in recent years.

If its mismanagement- rather than a complete change in the landscape shafting us, combined with 20 other clubs trying to achieve the same things... Then do tell us what should have been done differently- or should be done now by the owner.

Simply offered you more examples to contradict your swivel-eyed notion that Town have never had it so good under Marcus Evans.

Palace were promoted in 2013 ... yes that's a terrible example ... after all football has changed so much since then.

Huddersfield don't fit the pattern because, er, they don't fit the pattern ... how convenient .... Burnley have an exceptional manager, so er, they don't fit the pattern either ... again how convenient.

Meanwhile at Portman Road .... last season we had our lowest finish in 58 years, in fact the club has managed just one top 6 finish in 10 years of second division football with Evans (our poorest decade since the 1950s) .... nothing to do with Marcus of course ....

Town's dwindling average attendances are now at their lowest level since the 90s and debts are at a record high but in your world that's all the fault of broader seismic shifts in the football landscape.

You're ME's dream supporter/employee.
