Erling Haaland 10:17 - Jan 30 with 1298 viewsMercian

I have just learnt that he was eligible to play for England. I thought Zaha was the "one that got away" but Haaland seems a real gem and with the current England striker worries he would have been perfect. Ah well.

Yeah, born in Leeds.

I'm guessing he mustve always wanted to play for Norway.

I think with National football, there is little point in trying to convince someone to represent you, better that they represent who they feel most comfortable with.

He's going to be a great player.

But do we have "striker worries"? Our forward line is one of the best out there and has good depth.

Strongly suspect he is going to be found out over the next year or so in the Bundesliga and at CL level as merely a very good Alan Lee.

You're confusing football with rugby and cricket

Why would you class Zaha as the one who got away?

Decent footballer but hardly the player to push England to be winning major trophies. He probably wouldn’t even play that regularly

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

Our front line is great but only our wingers are fit. Kane is a big doubt, Rashford and Abraham are also doubts and Vardy seems reluctant to return. That leaves Ings as our best fit striker. I like Ings who is having a great season but he is not top drawer.

Kayden Jackson is next in line for the shirt, not Ings.

He may have been eligible but he was never going to, he was effectively tied to a weaker footballing nation from birth so the opportunity would never have arisen
