How much of this promotion battle is in the mind? 12:45 - Feb 12 with 1673 views | MaySixth | I'd say that's our biggest failing, the ability to handle the pressure of being a big club in this division. Wimbledon knew that last night and chased us all night - a very limited team who were happy to get a point from the start and knew the pressure was all on us. It begs the question on the need of a pyschologist at the club or should that be Lambert's role? We need to find confidence from somewhere and a settled formation and relentless coaching could have subconciously attuned the players to getting through this period - it might be a reason we are so feast or famine.

We need Bish (or a Bish type) back for the start of next season, whatever league we are in. Norwood is a confidence player - must start every week.

We need to move on from Bishop. He’s clearly never going to be fully fit again. Pay him up and move on.

Feel bad for him, he’s had terrible luck. But it’s time to break the cycle of misery and frustration

How much of this promotion battle is in the mind? on 16:28 - Feb 12 with 1489 views | eddiespearitt03 | Can we just realise the fact that we carry crap players at this club. Lets be brutally honest for once. All sitting on contracts because Evans does not know wtf he is doing and who to listen to. Just a shame Mr Evans can not use that football brain of his. Taking wrong advice, guidance and info from too many people at this club. All one big muckin fuddle.
How much of this promotion battle is in the mind? on 17:44 - Feb 12 with 1445 views | CopfordBlue | Peterborough were on a different level to us a few weeks ago. Speed, skill, a clear strategy etc. It wouldn’t have mattered what the mindset of our team was, they were better footballers with a better manager. Mindset may be a factor when the margins are tight such as a game level going into injury time or a penalty shoot out but the fact is we’re just not as good as several teams in this league.

How much of this promotion battle is in the mind? on 18:04 - Feb 12 with 1408 views | ArnieM | Lambert said right at the start of the season that it was about dealing with the pressure of being a big scalp in this division . Clearly we have failed miserably !

How much of this promotion battle is in the mind? on 20:34 - Feb 12 with 1318 views | sparks | Nope- I dont think its pressure- its setting up a team to play a packed defence, with 5 centre backs, 1 defensive midfielder and 2 central grafters. Our only attacking players were the strikers.

I would. We’re tying up a place and wages chasing a dream that we may have a quality Championship midfielder, yet if he got fit and delivered would be off for probably not a lot of money given his history. Dozzell is another similar one - the new Dean Bowditch.
