It's a myth to say they have a "no testing" attitude. They have conducted the 5th (I think it might be higher now after what they said yesterday) most tests in the world.
They aren't testing everyone, that's true. Should they be testing more? Yes they should if they have the capacity.
Need to put a stop to this "no testing" myth though.

They can't test everyone it's impossible.
Also I heard on the radio today from a frontline Covoid man that if you are tested you have to wait a day or two and if you come back as negative you have to have a further test to confirm it - and wait again. I can't remember the amount of tests or the length of time inbetween the tests but to get the complete all clear it is a minimum of 6 days. |  |

A common question in medicine when ordering tests is 'how will this change your management?'
That's largely what underpins this: most people testing positive will not need any intention beyond what is already happening to them. For the hospitalised and the potentially-to-be hospitalised and vulnerable, there's a clear rationale for testing, so that proper isolation measures and treatment can be implemented and there's arguably a sound rationale for testing all frontline staff displaying symptoms so as to help with workforce planning. Fair point about "no" ....posted during a tea break...so "limited" would be better....it isn't good enough and you have to wonder what the Government were doing since the New Year (ventilators, testing kits etc...) | |
