Think I've had a migraine for the first time ever today 15:43 - Apr 28 with 891 views | ThisIsMyUsername | I was watching TV from 8-9:30am and had started getting bright & blurry lights in my vision by the time I stopped. These continued for about 30 mins along with a degree of double vision. My eyes and forehead were painful and I was sick a couple of times. Went back to bed just after 10, pain got worse and spread to the sides of my head, and I was sick 3 more times. Finally resurfaced at 3pm and have been able to stomach a couple of bits of toast. Still feel a bit nauseas and groggy, but symptoms have improved by 90%. Can anyone confirm? If so then I now feel sorry for people who suffer with these chronically for hours or days on end.

Think I've had a migraine for the first time ever today on 15:52 - Apr 28 with 856 views | The_Last_Baron | Sounds like a severe migraine with Aura. It'll take you two days to recover 100%. How old are you? These usually affect people from 18 through to the 40s but get milder as you get older. Here's how you limit them. Keep your blood sugar level up, do not miss regular meals. This is the most common cause from people who I know suffer them. Once you get the vision problems that is your 20 minute warning the pain is coming. Take a couple of headache tablets or painkillers straight away. The pain will still come but won't hit you half as hard.

Checks out with what I've read on the NHS site. I'm 28. I think my trigger might have been neck tension and some emotional stressing over the last few days (certainly not missing meals). I think your bottom paragraph is gold. I didn't take anything today until the pain had started, and I don't think much of it would have been absorbed either. Hopefully just a one off and the body's way of telling me to get back to more in check with myself (I believe in the usefulness of meditation and the mind/body link in health).

I found this: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/migraine-and-covid-19 tl:dr In some cases, a person with a SARS-CoV-2 infection may experience headaches similar to migraine headaches. Just a thought. Hope you are well whatever it is. M | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I've had them since I was 17, they're nowhere near as bad as they were. I'd say I get around 4 a year but apart from one recently they're usually mild now. Still takes two sleeps to feel 100% though.
