Schitt's Creek on 22:35 - Oct 5 with 1028 views | King_of_Portman_Rd | I thought I would hate it, or at least get bored of it but finished it a couple weeks back and I’m sad that I’ve now seen it all as I’ve not found anything like it to watch since Genuinely fantastic TV for a middle of the road easy watching type show. I think the wife and I raced through 6 seasons in no time (she had a few cries throughout) and it was far far better than I imagined it would be
Schitt's Creek on 02:04 - Oct 6 with 976 views | IPS_wich | Watched Season One at about the same time Season Three was being released. Thought it was ok, but the family too obnoxious, so took another year before watching Season Two and becoming hooked. Smashed out Seasons 2-4 over a week and waited impatiently for Seasons 5 and 6 to come around. It’s one of the most well written and acted shows out there - fully deserves all the plaudits it’s received. My wife summed it up perfectly - for a comedy show, there are only occasional laughs, but you find yourself smiling from start to finish. So much so that if you binge 4-5 episodes in a row you actually find your jaw aching a bit from the big smile you’ve had. A couple of tears along the way and then constant leaking eyes in the last 10 minutes of the last episode.

I often do walk like Bob the morning after a curry...he, like all the supporting characters, were terrific. My wife and I binged it over the last 2 months, couldn't wait for our nightly Schitt...often had 3 in a row. Tremendous show, and well worth persevering with if it doesn't grab you straight away. We've started watching it recently. I thought Series 1 was very good in parts, but didn't fully hold.together, and that the family weren't likeable enough. A few episodes into Season 2 now and it's hard to fault. There is real warmth developing. Just watched the Pretzel business episode. It actually works best, in my opinion, when Eugene or Dan Levy are reacting to the townsfolk, rather than when their characters are trying to take control, as then the emphasis is on their "fish out of water" struggles rather than their controlling and domineering nature. The whole construction of the Pretzel episode is beautiful, especially the pay off of Bob saying he really ought to look at the books next time before investing in one of his schemes. Oh, and not wanting to say "Jewish" because "It feels like a swear." | | | | Login to get fewer ads

And for those who haven't seen it: Only just over 20 minutes an episode. Great to watch one or two before bed if you've been watching something heavy. Or too much News.

The warmth just keeps growing. It’s no mean feat to take four quite unlikeable characters and over six seasons make you care so deeply about each - plus an array of wonderful and nuanced supporting characters.
