Connecting iFollow to my TV 11:51 - Nov 18 with 1813 viewsFPL_Tractor

Hi, could someone please tell me if/how I can connect my laptop to my tv to watch ifollow please. It’s not realistic for a family of five to sit round a laptop!

I have a Lenovo Chromebook which has a USB-A port.
I have a TV with a port for HDMI.

Get the game working (sooner the better) then plug in your HDMI once it's working. I usually put it in a separate browser on full screen. You can mute it while you get half an hour of cones and terrible dance music.

Once you're happy with the settings it shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure your laptop is plugged in so you don't get a battery waning during the game!

If it's a Smart TV and you Laptop is running Windows 10 - you can throw it to your TV - otherwise HDMI is the only option.

I see you mention Chromebook - HDMI it is then.

I HDMI Madge's laptop to the TV. I opt for 'second screen' only so it only shows on the TV. If you press the Windows Key and P it'll show you some display options:

PC Screen only - Self explanatory
Duplicate - Will show on both screens.
Extend - Gives you the option to drag windows to a second screen.
Second screen only - Will show on the screen that's not your primary one.

Sounds like the first thing you need is a USB-A to HDMI convertor if your Chromebook only has a USB-A port and no HDMI port

Plug convertor into USB-A port, plug one end of the HDMI cable into convertor and other end into TV.

Hope that the Chromebook automatically detects the HDMI cable (if not you'll have to configure it)
On TV you will have to switch from TV to HDMI port
You have it on TV

I have a Chromebook, so purchased a Chromecast for about £15 which connects to the TV via USB. Works flawlessly. No cables required between the Chromebook and TV. The Chromebook stays in the office whilst I enjoy the match sat on the sofa.

Ahh, didn't realise they didn't have HDMI outputs.

The two ways I have connected my laptop to it is from an HDMI lead or going into the TV settings and selecting Remote PC and mirroring my laptop to the telly wirelessly.

As if you have any spare time to watch football on the TV these days.
