India 19-6 against the Aussies 05:01 - Dec 19 with 953 viewsChrisd

It’s like watching the Trent Bridge test in 2015 all over again. Carnage!

36-9, with a batting retirement. The 4th lowest score in test match history.

Unlikely to happen but I'd love to see the Aussies choke chasing under 100 to win.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

You’re reading my mind. The Aussies 60a/o again would be a joy to see!

I thought that this would be a closely fought series. On that evidence, it looks like 4-0 is very likely. India showing once more that batting outside of Asia is not their bag.

Kohli going home after this test match for the birth of his first child, so that’s going to weaken their batting line up significantly. The Indian bowling unit is very decent, although Shami got hit on the arm when batting today, hopefully it’s not a break.

I was looking forward to watching a few hours this morning, switched on and it had just finished, couldn't believe it!

And the worry for us, in 12 months time we will be down under against that pace attack!

It’s been quite amusing all the way through: Paine failing to review a caught behind against Kohli, then Kohli getting run out when India were dominant, even an Aussie collapse yesterday.

Shame they can’t both lose though.

Their bowling attack is a concern, but I look at that Aussie batting line up and yes they have Smith and Labuschagne, but there's not a lot else above and below them. We've got a serious chance next winter to regain The Ashes.

I was thinking I hope our bowlers are watching how India were bowling to them as the Aussies didnt have clue how to play that attack, if theyd caught half the catches they dropped India could have won that game even with that stupid low score.

and India were as much to blame for their downfall as the bowling was good, the balls werent unplayable, the pitch wasnt doing anything extraordinary, they just forgot they werent playing an IPL game.

Wish I had your optimism but if they have their best bowlers fit and ready to go I just can't see us getting anything other than a hammering. Be interesting to see how Leach comes back this winter as we will definitely need a spinner in Aus to do a job of resting your quickies, keeping control and chipping in with the odd wicket.
Be handy if we can persuade them to have 2/3 pink ball D/N tests as well as would play into the strengths of an all swing/pace attack.
