That, after all, was why the contract extension first negotiated in the autumn of 2019 was not announced until 1st January, or so we are told.

All of which explains Lamberts almost complete U turn in his demeanour ( after he’d spoken to Evans on the phone?). He was positively jovial at the last post match interview ..... the arse hole KNOWS he’s in for a big pay off . The Tossa!
