Outsiders getting fed up with Lambert now 22:15 - Feb 21 with 3471 views | StokieBlue | The D3D4 podcast went pretty hard on Lambert this week. Totally fed up with his whinging and moaning, want him gone and don't ever want to have to speak about him again: http://d3d4football.com/d3d4-football-podcast-ep162-bada-bing-bada-boom/ Good to know it's not just town fans who think he's full of it. Posh is first so it starts about 6 minutes in. SB

It's just a weekly podcast that specialises on leagues one and two. It's been going for a few years now. They aren't famous but I guess quite a few people listen given the specialisation. As you say, they think he's a tw*t and lets face it, they aren't wrong. All season (and last) they have basically blamed Lambert for how poorly town have been doing but they finally snapped and aren't bothering to sugar coat it anymore. SB

These are specifically interesting: "Talk of structure is for the birds in my opinion.A League 1 football club isn't Microsoft.Yes, it has to be run properly but there are many clubs in the league who're run on much smaller budgets & have far less resources. Why should fans be interested in infastructure? So boring." "Ipswich Town are the envy of many League 1 clubs, a Premier League stadium & training ground with a rich history of achievement down the years. But looking back isn't in the future.Sir Bobby looked forward not http://back.So did George Burley who created his own legacy." "Who cares about an improved performance? It's about winning & not thinking that a draw is a platform to build on.The winning mentality will be re-installed sooner rather than later & winning ways will return." SB

Iike the D3 D4 pod, listened since we hit D3.. Guys have never rated Lambert, say how it is and rated us as at the beginning as finishing 8th or 9th so we're not even achieving that!

I very much doubt ME will entertain any talk about the structure from PL. It's all just deflection anyway and he surely must know it's ridiculous to talk about Town in League One in the same breath as a the structures at Dortmund and Celtic.

Especially when he won't extrapolate in any way what is wrong. "What is wrong?" "Everything" "Does this mean the academy is wrong?" "Don't put words in my mouth" "Can you give us an example of any area?" "No"

Yeah thought that was pretty incredible, especially whilst trying to get people to name their sources.

The thing about structure for us is that it could take away much of the decision making from ME. Ultimately what it boils down to is having someone there who can make good decisions, and it's been proven time and time again that Evans doesn't. And leaving so much to the manager hasn't worked either. Changing the structure could change that. It's the only thing that can really, except for Evans lucking out with a decision - and that won't be by design or repeatable. Structure is boring, but unless we can unearth the next Pep through a fluke, ours needs to be better.

But a manager can't in good faith claim everything is wrong when really it just needs a CEO. It's a structural failing, but not a completely failed structure in every area

And particularly when he's contributed to degrading a few areas of the club himself by disempowering people/knowing best/having fall outs.
Outsiders getting fed up with Lambert now on 09:47 - Feb 22 with 2339 views | noggin | Peter Slater, of BBC fame, commenting yesterday on a FB post about Town beating Saint Etienne in 81 and the state of the club now. Peter Slater Undoubtedly the best European match I ever reported on. Also the start of five great years living in Suffolk . It needs a change of direction, if only Eddie Howe would consider coming and be given a decade to sort it out.

If he genuinely thinks ME is going to bow to him regarding whatever it is he wants re structure, and as you say, he's been vague, just talking about Dortmund and Celtic, which are worlds away, then I think he'll be disappointed. And why say it now? When he came in cosmetic things like the branded fencing around the training ground, all of which I'm told cost £150,000, were his priorities, not changes behind the scenes.

He says it now to deflect the blame from him. Only good thing to come from the talksport interview was Simon Jordan not having none of it. And as the branded fencing that's ridiculous

I can see something in that sort of branding, making stuff around the club blue etc, but if there are structural issues then you get money spent on them first, rather than starting to bleat about them two and a half years down the line.

Each passing day I am starting to feel that you and Paul Lambert might not really be friends any more?
