One thing that has bugged me over the last 4 or 5 years 09:20 - Mar 17 with 757 views | Cheltenham_Blue | is the number of times we've heard from management teams, and from players, when we are dropping away from where we should be and we get told that, 'The atmosphere in the dressing room and amongst the squad is brilliant'. Really? Because we aren't getting promoted this year, so I'm a little surprised. I understand protecting the players, but 'just fine' seems a bit more caring than 'brilliant' Maybe its just me, but for years it's seemed like we as fans have cared more about whats happening than anyone at the club, and I think thats a big part of the disconnect between club and fans.

They get asked the question and then go a little OTT to make sure they don't start negative rumours off. I don't know about you but the less we hear from our players the better. I know they mostly ask questions put to them but I can't take another "we go again" or "we still believe" interview.

Maybe. I'm sure the Chambo interview will be out on Thursday. Is it his turn to say we can still make it? Or will it be Sears?

Stuart Watson says that a few times this year no player has volunteered to do the post match interview, as was the case last night. That's speaks volumes as to some of the characters we have in the squad. I think we are going to see some huge change over the summer's which is exciting. For too long this bunch have got away with under performing and bar 1 or 2 younger players I would happily see the lot of them moved on. 53 player's and we can't find 2 wingers or a striker

One thing that has bugged me over the last 4 or 5 years on 09:41 - Mar 17 with 641 views | davblue | The culture looks to be a little safe, no one wants to drive it forward top down. Appointing a decent manager was the start but i have serious misgivings if Cook can do anything under Evans. As Phil said in the last month or so, if the club think that a managerial appointment will cover over the apathy then the club is very much mistaken, it's much more deep rooted than that. The the glaring issue is Evans and the lack of structure around him.

I fear that many might see promotion to the Championship as a guarantee that their 'talents' would no longer be required i.e. them not being up to it So far better to carry on at this level on a reasonable wage, One they might struggle to find at another L1 (or even L2) club It will be interesting to see in which direction, those who are out of contract in the summer, go. I very much doubt any will be heading upwards.
