Just tuned into BBC Four....first track played was arguably The Stones's greatest track.....Gimme Shelter. Still sends shivers down the spine when I hear it .
Friday nights on BBC Four are generally hugely entertaining.

From the 70's Brown Sugar is my favourite but I mostly prefer their 60's tracks.
Same same, I prefer the 60's stuff.
Are you a big Stones fan? I have a friend in Amsterdam who is good friends with Keith Richards and he (My friend, not Keith) invited me to go on tour with them in South America about three or for years ago.
What would you have done? I knew if I had gone it would have ended up in immediate divorce. To be genuinely honest I would have taken the divorce but I couldn't have handled the fallout from the kids.
*** Thinking about it further I should have gone but although my Mrs and I aren't exactly soul mates I couldn't have bared being over there while she was upset. I guess I'm too much of a wet tart when all said and done.
“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”

My top 60's band are/were The Kinks but there are loads of others that I liked.
I have got a Bill Wyman solo album signed by him, my son works for a book publishers and they did a book of Bill Wyman's photographs so I got my son to get the album signed when he met him.
From what you post on here I think that you are more suited to being on tour with The Stones than I am.
I have got a photo somewhere that I took of Brian Jones' headstone from Cheltenham Cemetary.

Ronnie doesn’t hold a candle to the other two from a recording perspective, but he was ideal when he came in in terms of live performances, which the last 35 years have largely been... 35 years, my god!

I can't tolerate Bill Wyman. He was on record of going with Mandy Smith when she was 14 or 15. I still can't understand why it has never since been spoken about.
In any case, Ronnie Wood is more of a Stone, even though he got there a bit late.
I have probably bored you before about my last Stones episode - but if you don't mind I will repeat myself because I never tire of reminiscing.
I had a bundle of tickets for Hyde Park, I think it was 2013. Anyhoo, I took the Mrs, kids, honorary daughter and best mate. It was a blast, one of my top 5 days in my life.
Anyhoo - the queue to the bar was not worth considering to attempt - and this is from a borderline alcoholic. Not 100% sure but we might have had a bit of chang keeping us going. Anyway, what happened was - I looked down at the floor at one point and spotted a whole case of individual bottles of wine. By an act of God I reckon one of the trolleys replenishing the bars had dropped this case at my feet.
Praise the lord

Odd, but I love ‘Almost Hear You Sigh’ from the 80’s. I was driving down the Pacific Coast Highway when I first heard it, so that might influence my choice. Love ‘Miss You’ as well.

I don't think that you can bore anyone with your stories/reminiscences Lucan-well anyone that is not married to you anyhoo (to use your word).
Yeah I had forgotten about Bill Wyman and his schoolgirl.

Want a hug!
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
I live in Woodbridge-I did meet Lucan Junior once at KJ's quiz night which was probably four years ago now.
I meant it about your stories by the way.
I hope to have a pint with you sometime soon PJH. I must admit I do like the Cherry Tree, I used to pop in there daily only a couple of years ago and back daily. Fantastic pub.
We will hook up after the madness.

Any of you really old fekkers know this one....Miss Slave's uncle Arthur was in them.
Yep I know that one-got it on a compilation LP entitled 'Hard Up Heroes' which also includes pre-fame Rod Stewart, David Bowie and Steve Marriott along with several others.
edit-Nashville Teens, according to the album sleeve, were Rae Phillips, Art Sharp, John Hawkins, John Allen, Pete Shannon, and Barry Jenkins.

Even better....an unseen version of Hey Joe from the Jimi Hendrix experience.... unbelievably on the Lulu show!!!!
Hardly unseen. Famous footage. Stopped playing Hey Joe half way through and started on Sunshine of your Love because Cream had just disbanded, but Beeb pulled the plug as they went on too long....
