| They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all! | Poll: | Who should start in CM with Cajuste? |

It's nothing new. Look at the line-ups for the single most enjoyable game I've ever seen: https://www.coludata.co.uk/item.php?pg=results&pd=1026&sort=sopp&ord

That’s a real mixture of good players on the way down and on the way up, but both sides.

Indeed - Lua Lua coming on for Dozzell being the supreme example. Cureton missed a penalty for Rovers. But less fess fun is I believe Bramble may have ended someone's career with a very heavy challenge, (but I may well be wrong.)

Can’t see it working well for Colchester. Has been poor for a few years, slows the game down, no threat. Deserves thanks for being here for 8 years but the tributes are like those seen for someone who was part of a team that achieved something. We have been in decline!!!

It’s a great move for Skuse. 2 year contract at his age and level of fitness? Doesn’t have to move house, happy days. He might even be able to get into coaching there if that’s what he wants. Good luck to him. I can’t see much in it for Colchester, but you never know. Old goalies and defenders can work out well if they were top level in the first place, as we know. Midfielders? Pirlo is about the only one I can think of. I saw Tony Currie playing for Torquay in the mid 80s at about the age Skuse is now. A top player in his day, but the game utterly passed him by. It was sad.
Has the pronunciation of "Boudicea" changed.... on 16:41 - May 26 with 793 views | Bloots | .....when I was a nipper it was always "Bo-dissea" But now it appears to be "Boo-dicka" Your anus or You're unus? Modern things confuse me.

Nestlay was always Nestles and always will be. Same with Bowda-see-her. Ahhh, the good old days...

The Beat had one last go at it at Col U when they had Allan Hunter as boss. Micky Stockwell, Gavin Johnson. We nicked our best manager since Sir Bobby from them. I used to go on watch them sometimes at Layer Road when they played their games on a Friday night, there were a fair few Town fans who would go up to Col U on a Friday night for a game back then.
