Lord Frost has shown himself particularly pig-headed in his entire approach to the agreement he negotiated. I would expect him to be the next recipient of Boris Johnson's loyalty very soon.

The only way to reduce the impact of a border in the Irish sea, or indeed a land border between Northern Ireland and Ireland, is with some degree of regulatory alignment.

You've got to be joking? They've actually said that?

Anything that doesn’t affect them directly they don’t care about.

Presumably in the same way that they underestimated the importance of the Dover-Calais crossing - ie they're a bunch of moronic charlatans.

Yep, David Frost said it over the weekend (or at least it was reported over the weekend). The trouble with all the lying is that at some point reality was always going to catch up.

I can't see anything after FPL-Tractor's post.

Edit. Sorted.

Throughout, those pushing Brexit have shown a remarkable lack of attention to detail. Because they know that it’s the detail that gets in the way of all their predictions and tells the lie of their “promises”.

It’s been a calculated political move to steal power. With damage to the lives of ordinary people and businesses, plus an overall worse future for the country, seen as the acceptable collateral damage.

If we didn’t have a media equally skewed towards low-taxed, low-regulated self-interest in the case of the right-wing press or just materially unaffected in the centre then this evident truth would never have been normalised and ignored to the extent it has.

That sums it up pretty well. Just throw in the deliberate agitation of the populous and that's the last 5 years or so in a nutshell.

Thewy knew, whether they cared or not is a moot point. But they can't row back on any aspect of their Brexit, in fear of a domino effect. They are stuck in a corner but instead of admitting where they are wrong, they prentend the corner doesn't exist.
