People always say that. He can’t really afford to turn down that sort of opportunity can he?

Yeah I saw MK Dons fans ‘celebrating’ the fact he was staying on twitter. Funny. Good news for the rest of the league as thought they’d be up there with him, could still well be depending on who they appoint but never good to lose a manager the week before the season starts! Matt Gills third club in a number of months.

Most of their fans on twitter are annoyed that he has rejected them. Even their official media seems to be portraying him as a villain. Though I've seen some suggest Jon Terry as their next manager lol

Can't really work out just how good they were last year. I mean our game there was fairly frustrating with Downes etc and certainly before they got Jerome in they had nothing up top. All bias aside, I'm not sure Martin is that great yet he elevated a team noone likes to playing some decent third tier stuff and leant on his Nodge contacts, will that cut it at Swansea? Regardless, I hope MK join Derby in the bowels of the pyramid sooner rather than later innit.

Martin is a swan on 20:56 - Aug 1 with 941 views | Swansea_Blue | Didn't realise Mat Gill was with him. How does he fit into that approach, as I don't remember seeing much evidence of attractive passing football when he was here, unless I missed it. Mind you, he did a decent job as a stand in for a game didn't he - a 100% win record!

Appears they are buying into his style of play more than anything at this stage? Only Man City and Barca had higher possession stats in Europe

He's got his work cut out down here. They lost quality in each area of the pitch this summer, and are just about to lose Matt Grimes too who keeps them ticking over (and who I'd have thought would be key to Martin's style). Plus they've a couple of long term injuries to other senior players. And on top of this, they're going for the austerity no spending approach and trying to rely on the academy. They're going to be the next us if they aren't careful. [Post edited 1 Aug 2021 21:13]
