Cook's belief 22:19 - Aug 10 with 2179 views | Bluefish | I wonder what experiences Jeffers, Roberts and the kit man can draw upon to restores Cookie's belief. He has had multiple teams, tactics and player churns since he has been here. He went big this season bombing players out, if he won't come good soon he could end up shot to bits like Hurst. I'd feel much happier if he had a credible number 2

Number two may have told him to play our best 11 on the basis they told the fans just a couple of weeks ago we needed time and matches to gel.
Cook's belief on 22:22 - Aug 10 with 2070 views | WeirdFishes | It was the league cup and we made ten changes. And we actually played pretty well with youngsters in key positions. Don’t really understand the doom and gloom from some people.

No,2 would have agreed it's not worth risking your midfield etc for the caribo cup, and that there are 46 games in the league so plenty of time and matches to gel. no.2 would have also witnessed an absolute battering of an opponent with 0 goals to show for all the effort and wandered how exactly we didn't score.

....had 7 of their youth team playing, they're in the 4th Division and they beat us 1-0. It's not really ideal is it?

I've done number twos that would make better strikers than some we've had over the last decade

Yeah we dominated Newports u23s. And lost. And our first team has had no benefit from it. Risking injuries applies to every game. Rather than gel in important league matches do it in the cup where result is less important. Cook got it wrong. Again. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

First team has benefitted from it Fraser got some more minutes into his legs, we got to see how the likes of Humphries, Idris etc handle themselves. Barry made his debut, etc

All of our players could have just taken a big dump in the centre circle for 90 minutes and you would defend the performance and try and highlight how we are better for it

He has given reasons. You just refuse to acknowledge them due to some bizarre fixation with a manager whos delivered nothing of note so far.

First team benefit is minimal at best. A couple of expected regulars starting with people who aren't, in a formation we're told PC doesn't prefer. A couple more regulars then got some more game time as subs, which is fine, but again not surrounded by likely first choice team mates. It doesn't really matter as far as this place goes, as we're not pulling the strings. PC obviously knows what he wants and who are we to question? The proof will come in the next league match and the games after. I don't see how tonight helps much, but we'll see. If they're all on the same page and string a run of events together tonight will be forgotten soon enough.
