Should have been there  (btw, when I did eventually get a reply from the ticket office, they said I could give my ticket to any friend! so apparently, the 'non-transferable' bit & all the t & c warnings accompanying that when it's sent to you count for 0 .. In the end I accepted carrying it over to another year as time was so short. |  |

I still don't think that collapse would have happened in the last Test but for the abysmal hour in the field. Malan seems the best player to bring in given the lack of red ball cricket in the middle of Summer.

Phenomenal bowler. To do what he’s done for so long so consistently is amazing. We’ll never see his likes again.
There are some decent bowlers in the ranks but Anderson and let’s not forget Broad too, are going to be a massive miss when they eventually decide to hang their spikes up [Post edited 25 Aug 2021 16:47]

Agree Steve about Malan, but many will just pigeon-hole him as a T20 specialist. Woakes got through a decent amount of overs yesterday for not many runs and picked up 3 wickets . I'm pleased that Overton has got his chance as he has bowled well on the county scene, needs to prove he can bridge the gap. |  |
