What is your Covid status? on 14:53 - Sep 28 by longtimefan
I know two people who were totally convinced they had had it early on, but negative antibody blood test results recently proved otherwise!
Same with a friend of mine. I suppose it’s natural in the current climate to point to that if you are not feeling great, but my chum was absolutely convinced she’d had it even after the test was negative.

Entirely possible given that the first wave of tests were not hugely accurate(a 20% false negative rate quoted) so we we were quite often treating on the basis of 'clinical picture'(ie symptoms, chest x-Ray, bloods, etc) rather than tests alone in the first wave, in particular.
Even now, over 18 months down the line the odd 'barn door' with no positive test comes through the door.
