Well farke this board again. 17:25 - Nov 20 with 1419 viewsCheltenham_Blue

Not sticking around here whilst the loons take over again. I've just watched us lose undeservedly to a pi ss poor side and an awful penalty decision.

Theres no way I'm letting you lot give me a ulcer too. See you Tuesday.

Cheers for coming on the board to tell us you’re not going to be coming on the board.

Thanks for making the trip today.

Doesn’t matter if it’s undeserved.

We’ve lost ground again.

This is the ITFC we support now.

Where being disappointed with being mid table n the third division three seasons running makes you a 'loon'.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Exactly. Days like today are easier to live with if you've made a decent start and are properly competing, rather than chasing a slowly disappearing pack.

Yep. If they were so poor and we are such a good team destined for promotion then why didn’t we smash them? It’s not working. 1 good result/performance in 5 won’t see us achieve anything this season. I’ve said before, most of our fans don’t know what a genuine promotion contender looks like as it’s been decades since we were that, we’re miles off it.

This is a very weird way of defending an under-performing manager and team.

If you were at the game rather than a keyboard warrior, you’d know that we played very well in the first half, and dominated. We were let down by Celinas finishing and thwarted by a triple save from their keeper

Slate the team when they don’t perform

Don’t slate them when they’ve just been subjected to day light robbery

Loads of Mackems on the metro saying they couldn’t believe we’d won, and we were excellent

Now I agree if we don’t get anything from Tuesday it becomes an issue

But your stance having not having seen the game is ridiculous

I'm not sure how this squares with being disappointed that an expensively assembled squad of allegedly Championship standard players is languishing in midtable in the third division yet again, but OK.

I'm guessing we were 'technical' today, so you'll be happy that we've lost.

With the most expensively assembled squad for the third tier in many a year we sit tenth, seven points off sixth who have two games in hand on us. Taking the season as a whole "under-achieving" is pretty much spot on.

“ On the overall balance of the game, the Blues deserved more than the draw in which the match looked likely to end but it’s goals that win games and they were the one thing missing from Town’s display.”

Is that clear enough for you?

Badger didn't seem to be specifically commenting on today's game, but rather on us finding ourselves midtable in the third division (again) with a decent chunk of the season gone.

Good of you to quote this part :

“but it’s goals that win games and they were the one thing missing from Town’s display.”

They scored twice and we didn’t manage one.

This ain’t a one off, we’ve come on this board numerous times this season saying exactly the same thing after a game. Nothing about this season up until this point has indicated we are good enough to get promotion so I don’t see how everything is so rosey.

You've left out the bit where Phil blames me for selfishly being on nights rather than superfanning it up.

Not sure I agree with that. Thought a draw was about right IMO, which wouldn’t have been a bad result. I don’t think we did enough to deserve more than a point, but the win flattered Sunderland.

It’s a defeat, I don’t think it’s reason to flounce too hard on the face of it from a single result perspective. My frustration is I thought Cook’s predictable changes were poor, we seem to lack anything beyond plan A.

This puts a lot of pressure on Tuesday, but as I said in the week I would’ve taken 6 points from Sunderland, Rotherham, Crewe. Need to put back to back wins together now though, which would mean 20 points from the past 10, which is where we need to be. Biggie Tuesday against a good side.
