Are there some half truths hidden in here? Like they include free kicks that do not involve him shooting? I suspect there is a degree of selectivity in the numbers chosen too.

I think overall the conversation rate from a direct free-kick is around 6%. But that could well be misleading as it includes world class players and L2 players.

I’m afraid that I have mo idea where I read this from but I do remember thinking that six per cent is very low.

But Jimmy Juan had a 100% success rate with direct free kicks when on loan with us and that’s a statistic I like.

No Ronaldo's never been consistent with free kicks, he hits them hard with that swerve he puts on them but if they're closer than 30 yards he can't get them over the wall and down again in time - Ward Prowse is a far better free kick taker!
