McKenna watching the oppo 09:05 - Jan 7 with 1269 viewsCharlie_pl_baxter

Small point from McKenna's interview ahead of the Gills game. Love that he went to watch them play MK Dons on New Years Day (not sure I was capable of watching let alone travelling that day!).

I guess it's not that surprising considering our game was called off but love his attention to detail and taking any opportunity to gain an advantage.

Poll: We recruit two strikers, one has to be Bonne or Wickham, who would you have?

Dont think thats something any other manager doesn't do.

Seem to remember Cook went to Barrow or Sunderland on the train to watch one of their games prior to us playing them.

It was Charlton at Gateshead the night before we played Barrow, if I remember rightly.

It was. And of course, he was sacked before we actually played Charlton.

Ready! Steady! Cook!

Correct. It was actually televised that night too. I think Lambert would have taken the couch and remote control option, at best.

Yes, he watched them then played 4231 anyway.

I think it's perhaps the way he talked about what McKenna had seen in the game and what that might mean for how we need to play that I liked. I feel like he will actually be setting us up to beat that style of play.
