Hackney Empire - easiest way there from Ipswich 08:18 - Jan 31 with 766 views

Am there tonight for a show, and was planning on train up - but seems a bit awkward with overground at that end.

Is there a simple drive and park option? Or even drive all the way there and decent parking options - not somewhere I've been before, and definitely not driven there

Surely train to Stratford and a taxi???

It's just more the getting back as can be a pain from Stratford at times, especially if train busy and miss all the seats - although guess it's unlikely on a Monday with everyone wfh

How far is it taxi wise from Stratford?

Overground from Stratford to Hackney Central is eight minutes and then you're two minutes away. Even at 11 there's not more than 10 minutes between trains and it's a quick change at Stratford. Can't see a cab being quicker.

Can't imagine mainline trains will be that busy although GA have helpfully reduced the frequency of the fast ones.

Think it's about 10 mins on the overground from Stratford to Hackney Central, and then a 3 minute walk from there to the Empire...

Presume that there's some shenanigans on that bit of overground?

Otherwise an Uber from Stratford to Hackney will probably be about £15 or so. Could get the Central to Bethnal Green then get a bus up - but it's a bit of a faff....
