Charlton are looking to finalise a £400,000 move for Ipswich Town’s Scott Fraser before today’s deadline, writes Scott Burns
The Addicks have had a second offer accepted, after their opening bid was turned down last week.
The Scot has been given permission to open talks with their League One rivals.
Swansea City also made a second loan bid that has been turned down.
The English Championship outfit, managed by his former MK Dons boss Russell Martin, don’t have the funds for a straight transfer fee.
The former Dundee United star is expected to complete his move to Charlton today, subject to terms being agreed and a medical.
The 26-year-old only moved to Ipswich Town in the summer but has had limited game time since Kieran McKenna took over as manager. [Post edited 31 Jan 2022 9:05]
