wants us to patrol Ukraine's skies to shoot down Russian planes and destroy Russian tanks. My question is: is he crazy?

He could be Prime Minister if he’d defeated Cameron in the Tory leader vote.

(I assume it’s the same David Davies?)

I am no expert but that sounds like it would be helping to defend a sovereign nation from attack to me.

There are the twofold results of getting involved may well escalate the conflict and not getting involved will only embolden Putin to take more. I think it is inevitable we are going to get involved but the quicker a peace can be negotiated the better. Sometimes, it takes force standing up to aggression in order for that peace to be negotiated.

I, personally, would have preferred Corbyn to have won the last General Election. However, in this situation, I am glad we have a Government more likely to make a stand.

He was held in contempt in his schooldays. 'Look at Davis [correct spelling],' our teachers would say, 'didn't work hard enough and had to go to Warwick University.'

(In the late '60s a grammar school like mine held the new universities of the '60s in contempt.)

Any type of military offensive against Russia would have to involve all Nato Countries. Not just the UK. We would just be a minor irritation to Putin.

Grossly naive or just grandstanding for a certain type of voter in the UK.

I'm not sure our lot are doing much truly in the way of standing up to them, bar threatening to make it slightly more difficult for Russian 'businessmen' to donate money to them.

He's suggesting a no fly zone. Probably too late for that now.
