Absolutely strikers are there to score. And they aren't. But a bit of help would be great.

When you play so much around the edge of the box it is a bit of a disgrace he hasn't notched. We score a rubbish amount of goals from outside the box in general. |  |

Indeed. He is a deep-lying midfielder who when he does get to the edge of the box, never chooses to shoot. I can't see him getting goals. Unless he used to play a different role, I would imagine his goals record is similar to Skuse's.
It is always about a team working together to outscore the opposition, regardless of where the goals come from. It is currently a concern that we are not taking many of our chances. |  |

I agree that he often gets in positions on the edge of the area where he ought to be shooting, at least some of the time.

I'm useless at recalling details of who/when/where, but I do remember watching a couple of evening games on iFollow & thinking we'd have been better off having a quick direct shot at sometimes not great keepers, instead of unselfishly passing it to a team-mate in a supposedly better position but losing the initiative & the chance not being put away. | |

One under-acknowledged thing about our dreadful set piece record is that the problem is both the balls in and what we do with them. Donacien, Edmundson and Woolfenden all had presentable opportunities in our little 2-game drought.
