Yep. Season over I'm afraid. Shows how ineffective we were on Saturday against Portsmouth. Plymouth 16 shots and 5 on target. Portsmouth 4 shots 0 on target

And a lot of the top 10 have to play each other still, plenty of football left to play.

We newfound six wins from the next 8. I’ll give up when it’s 6 wins from the final 5, and not before.

We had 14 shots to Portsmouth's 6.

That's almost the same!

A huge ask with them all winning regularly. We were 9 points of 6th when McKenna took over and we’re 7 points off as it stands although 5th and 6th teams all have a game in hand. To be a fairer comparison we’re 8 pts off Oxford who could be 6th if Plymouth and Shef Wed win their games in hand.

So we’ve made up 1 or 2 points at best in 16 games. It’s not over until mathematically impossible of course, but to make up 7 or 8 points in 8 games seems unlikely. It shows how well those the top 6/7 teams are doing this year.

hopefully the players give their all until completely mathematically impossible

We’ll be good again... one day

How many points off sixth place were we when cook was sacked?

It's over, let's be realistic. 6th is all we can really hope for and to get that we've got to rely on three other teams imploding. Four if you include Pompey who also go above us if they win their game in hand. Some of them play each other as well, that guarantees points to some of them.

7!

But we’d played a game more. We’ve pretty much not closed the gap, which is just bizarre.

I think it's too big a gap now TBH. I don't see enough teams between us and 6th dropping enough points

The teams above Town never seem to lose! None lost at the weekend, none lost tonight.
