Justice minister resigns 18:15 - Apr 13 with 1466 viewsHARRY10

"Justice minister Lord Wolfson has resigned from the government, saying he could not back Boris Johnson’s response to his fine for breaking Covid laws."

But to relief all round Michael Fabricant stays

Commendable. The only trouble is, anyone with an ounce of integrity will leave and we’re going to be left with all the useless Johnson sycophants. That’s not good for any of us, even the Tory party in the long run.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

The local elections will decide if the Tories turn. That's what they are hanging on for. A bad set of results and the liar is gone.

Everything he touches, he fcks up - just as his time as an MP previously, as mayor, Foreign Secretary and now PM

This time his mates have trousered billions from supplying did PPE, and we are still paying to store the useless stuff

Righties look now, this is your boy this is, must make ya prahd to be a rightie, innit

"Over the last four months, the Department for Health has paid contractor Uniserve £124 million for “storage costs” — which the Good Law Project branded a “grotesque waste of public money”.

And that will figure will continue to grow as the contract still has quite a while to run..

"“Not only did the Government squander billions on over-priced PPE that can’t be used but it turns out their mistakes are still costing taxpayers millions.”

the link now includes the letter of resignation

which briefly states that the rule of law applies to us all

how can you expect voters to accept laws made by those who show flagrant contempt for them

as that removes any claim of authority - more so that Johnson repeatedly lied to Parliament about events he has now admitted to attending by his acceptance of the fine, as to challenge the fine would force a court case where the currently hidden evidence would come out into the open

some might wonder how is it that some Russians are supporting Putin, look at home, and you will find the same mentality

any wonder Johnson has long been a supporter of Putin

That is actually an astounding fact thrown in there, Harry. You really would benefit from selecting the cream of what you want to say and leaving out the dressing.

The only reason the Cabinet is who they are is they are a bunch of sycophants.

No-one else brings Nadine Dorries into a cabinet position

Do Tory voters actually care though? It does seem to me that they've gone down the Trump route, where nothing they do or say can actually put off the people that vote for them.

The Ipswich Tories (Hunt, "Crusader" Ian, Nadia Cenci) seem to be quite representative of the party and their voters now. I would feel extremely sorry for IBC staff if they somehow gain control of the borough council...

So long as you're stickin' it to the lefties they don't give a flying fck about how it may adversely affect them.

Will anything change for me or you? Probably not. But then again I'm not someone who needs to rely on essential services.

Cutting off your nose to spite your face seems to be the order of the day for modern Tory voters.

I am rather reminded of France in '44.

There were the incredible stupid who somehow convinced themselves that they were saving France from communism, by being killed on the Eastern front where they were used by the Germans as cannon fodder - and when the war was over, were either shot out of hand by French troops or given the option of joining the Foreign Legion, where they were similarly used, as canno foffer.

Much as with the Milice, who died in their thousands in summary executions at the hands of fellow Frenchmen. their job was to do the dirty work of the Germans, rounding up Jews and fighting the resistance .

I listened some while back to a Milice volunteer who escaped to Spain, and so survived. It's uncanny to hear his arguments that so match todays brexiteers. That Laval and Petain were the true 'patriots' as were they, who were collaborating with their countries enemy. His group surrendered to the US soldiers, who on learning who they were, handed them over to the local resistance. Guessing what was coming he managed to jump from a lorry, and then make his way over the Pyrennes.

Perhaps 'rightieness' should be treated as an illness of the mind. Look up sociopath and you will see behavioural patterns, shown by righties, that match those of the sociopath. Trump, Johnson, Farage - no understanding of what is a lie, but a recognition of what they said benefits them, so it must be OK.

But one thing I will take my hat off to them - is their ability to manage and remember all the logins they use on here.
