Haven't the Torygraph been openly against Johnson for some time now?
MPs are trying to change the rules to have another leadership contest (what happened to it is the will of the people we can't vote on it again?) However, even if they do, would he still have sufficient of his MPs support him? Wouldn't it just continue to draw more attention to the division in their party and the fact that, ultimately, this is the Tory Party and not just Johnson and a few MPs.
It is important that the electorate will hold the party to account even if they do eventually ditch him just before the next election. They have (in the main) not only enabled him but actively supported him. |  |
