Viewer discretion advised for that horrendous foul committed by Harness…

Their man has obstructed Harness who then overcomes it by outpacing and out playing him and the cheating 'C U early next week' has thrown himself to the ground.

That's a fantastic goal and a red card to the defender as far as I'm concerned.

Plus tarring and feathering followed by a good hiding.

Then waterboarding.

Then round J2's for dinner just to make sure.

But much on the last sentence, mate. No wonder [redacted] has you down as a wrong 'un.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Bloody hell.....so even the stuff that the ref couldn’t possibly have seen, but imagined happened, didn't happen.

Looks to me that the ref saw Harness put his hand over the shoulder of the defender and use him as leverage to get round him. Can see why he gave the foul.

If you watch on the normal highlights, the ref wasn't even in shot though. He was nowhere near close enough to make any sort of call and the lino didn't flag for a foul.

Agreed. The opposition players were also up to all sorts of tricks to stop him, but I don't think did anything as obvious as that.

Sure. But to me that helps even more to understand why he (wrongly) gave the foul. At a distance he probs saw Harness’ arm over the defenders shoulder and just assumed ‘foul. Poor decision. Harness showed a huge amount of strength to get to that ball - something we haven’t often enough seen from our strikers in the last few season. A bit like our whole team really. We used to be nice and neat, but actually weak both physically and mentally, whereas that has massively changed in the last few months. We now look a big strong team all over the pitch. Just what we need to get out of this league and then hold our own in the Champ. Here’s hoping!

Sorry, I didn't mean to down vote your reply but I can't seem to undo it. Linos annoy me these days because they rarely seem to get involved, either by indicating a foul, or disagreeing with a foul given. Nor do referees ever seem to consult them at this level. Is there some rule change in recent years that limits their role, because I am sure it was different in the past?

Thanks. I did try that but think I was logged out. I've now done it and cancelled it.

For me, the linesman is as much to blame as the ref. The ref was far too far behind the play to make the correct call, but the linesman could easily have overruled him.

What about the high foot in the box from the Barnsley defender as Harness runs through?
If that's in the box, then it's a penalty. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the conduct of either of the two players fighting for the ball that would warrant a foul either way.

The sliding finish by Harness was sublime.

The more I watch the replays the angrier I get. A 450 mile round trip and I might as well have stayed at home and let the ref make up whatever final score he fancied.

My limited experience of using, (as in registering and posting on there), was a few years ago when I was being ignored by an organisation and needed to get their attention.

A few publicly well-aimed Tweets are harder to ignore than the odd recorded phone message.

Plus the team gets posted on there as do the goals, that kind of thing. Although for those you don't need to be a 'user' as such, so to speak.
