Brilliant footballer, great captain and a lovely guy.

Really enjoy watching him play football, and we say this a lot about our players, and its hyperbole in most cases, but he genuinely is a level above this league.

He's a joke. His upper body strength is ridiculous, he just seems impossible to get the ball off most of the time, but what I love about him is how sensibly he uses the ball, invariably seems to pick the right pass. Gets through so much work and covers so much yardage throughout a game too, he's a machine. When we talk about MOTM the reality is he's probably been it every game this season, he's one we would miss so much if he wasn't there and I don't mean that disrespectfully to Evans or Ball.

And he's got just the right amount of sh1thousery to his game too. He's so, so clever (most of the time) with the little fouls he gives away when there's a potential break or when the opposition are gathering momentum.

Started to add goals to his game too.

Well Evans has been superb, and he makes Morsy better and vice versa I think. The way he recovers the ball is brilliant. I'm sure Dom Ball will be good at that role as well, but Morsy as you say is irreplaceable.

He has this thing where, he will be in a ridiculously tight space, and you think surely no way he is keeping hold of this ball, and he just seems to move through people, he just clears them out the way, amazing close control.

He's a modern day Taricco, but in midfield.

I loved Taricco, Morsy is heading the same way.

Absolutely, a leader in many senses. Leads by example but also very telling how other players look to him for answers. My biggest frustration under Lambert was how meek we were, Bishop, Nolan, Huws, Dozzell etc, not bad players by any means but none of them would say boo to a Goose. When Downes was out we looked as weak as p1ss. Now we look capable of winning a fight and a football match, healthy level of getting in the refs ear, as you say an perfect level of sh1thousery. We've suddenly got multiple leaders around.

Still think it's kind of crazy he's in the third division. ITFC 'Project' or not, he's nearing the end of his playing career (for top level footie) and could have found a Champ club and more money, probably. Maybe loves being the Man, and thinks a promotion (or two) isn't beyond us....

He's my favourite current ITFC player by some distance, and there is a lot of competition obviously.

One thing on Tuesday that I loved was seeing Humphreys get absolutely clattered in a 50/50... he just got up and played on.

Dozzell wouldn't have made the tackle, Bishop probably would have and would have ended up injured for 17 years, Huws would be injured before he even got to the ball and Nolan would have ended flying out of the stadium from the contact.

We seem to finally have some steel in the team. I don't know if we're just doing our research on players injury records or if the recovery and injury prevention is much better, but something seems to have changed for the better.

This what we have got now seems similar to what Norwich had had following their relegation to League One. That is the strong characters in the dressing room. They had Holt and Hoolahan and we have similar ilk of players in Morsy, Walton or Chaplin.

What 'characters' did we have in the relegation season and subsequent couple seasons in League One? None whatsoever. A,bunch of sh1thouses, a bunch of utter wimps. The players whom you have mentioned .... add Skuse, Chambers, Sears and Judge to this list. Plenty of nice words from them in their countless interviews turned out to be the hollow ones as there was no passion on the pitch. Evans didn't care about our footballing fate so the players took their opportunities for a nice and easy pay day at Ipswich. No pressure at all so life was nice and comfy for them.

That is why I keep saying that the Cook's Demolition Job was absolutely necessary to seal the old chapter and start a new era.

As you say we have got multiple leaders and characters around and the only way is up.
