Please do explain. Valencia looks marginally off when the initial free kick is taken but would that be considered the same phase as it goes nowhere near him?

Bloke who nodded it bck was offside. Not at the point he nodded it back, the defenders had got back by then, but before.

When the ball gets headed up in the air by the columbian player (when the keeper tries to punch it), the player who (after the ball spoons up in the air and then bounces) bicycle kicks it towards the player who heads it in is marginally off. Very close, and you'd never spot/remember he's that without technology, but its the right decision.

It is correct, but it is ridiculous, it should be deemed level.

No, because the LOTG state VAR should overturn clear and obvious errors, which that wasn’t.

Yeah, keeper comes out infront of the defender so becomes the 2nd rearmost defender (where the offside line is judged from). Like I say, because the ball loops up and bounces before the next contact just feels weird. Was a scrappy 'goal' all round tbf, horrendous defending.

Well you're either offside, or onside aren't you. So how do you categories whats clear and obvious error when it comes to a black and white decision (offside) compared to a objective decision (a foul).

I'm more surprised that VAR missed the fact that Ecuador have a Colombian playing for them... Also, your description is technically wrong, and refers to the same player. Player 1 challenges with the keeper and heads it, Player 2 is offside, Player 2 then heads it, Player 1 bicycle kicks it
