So good to see him getting back to his old ways. He was in danger of doing a "Dele Alli", Well done Marcus.

He would have had to a long way to be in the Alli bracket. Bar the odd bit of outrageous skill he was always overrated anyway.

Alli was excellent in his first two seasons at Spurs.

Yeah, not sure you're the greatest judge of what makes a quality player mate.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

As good as Rashford has been, Hennessey is securing his place as Wales' first choice keeper too.

Wouldn't deny that, I just think he was quite overrated.

As always when it comes from you I'll take that as a big old compliment.

He was definitely Wales’ best keeper tonight. His rash challenge and sending off could well have cost them a place. He’d have saved Iran’s 1st so the 2nd may not have happened and he’d have saved Rashford’s free kick. Ward is utter cack.

Loads of threads about Rashford not being up to much and then suddenly good again, but not one on Kane. Granted I was half watching on a phone while packing boxes, but I don’t remember him being mentioned after the first 10 mins when he put Rashford through. Seemed very quiet.

His assist for Foden's goal was outstanding.

For what it's worth Kane now has the most assists at the WC, so he's not doing too badly...

Alli was phenomenal at Spurs, you don't get 18 goals in a season from midfield in the Premier League without being a good player. He was great beforehand as well, a lot of EFL players are overhyped or have an isolated season, but at MK Dons you could see he had both the physical and technical attributes to be a top player, as he showed at Spurs for a few years. Shame to see what's happened since then.
