Anyone else had a bad dose of it this autumn. I cannot shake it off and the cough is so bloody annoying. Unusual for me. Tested negative for covid.

Not personally but I know a lot of people who've been wiped out with something nasty that isn't covid.

3 to 4 weeks before I could shift it....the Covid that isn't Covid.

I'd had what felt like a lingering cold for about 6 weeks up to this week, which has finally broken into full blown flu. First time I've had the actual flu (not just a bad cold) in years, and I'd forgotten just how grim it is.

On the plus side I've lost the 5lbs I've been trying to lose for a few months, so there is that positive.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Had a lingering cold on and off for about 6 weeks now, few days sore throat, then headache, then awful cough which is worse at night, and generally feeling very tired.

A couple of weeks in St Kitts and Nevis wouldn't go amiss if I'm honest.

Did you have the flu jab, any of you?

Have to say i haven't had one but considering that this year.

Had it the same time as my covid booster. I'm assuming most, if not all, people who have replied on this topic don't get a free flu jab because of their age.

Yes, started with a scratchy throat coming back from PR on Sunday evening and has now developed into full blown broken glass feeling, thick flegm, a constantly running nose and persistent, painful coughing. First cold of any sorts I've had since the pandemic began. Tested negative thrice. Could be a lot worse but the mornings are grim.

There's a nasty one going round at the moment. Our respiratory units are packed.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Usually recover from most things in a week but this one stuck around for three and still got a lingering cough coming up to the 5th week. Think I’ve been on/off ill for a few months now, wondering if it’s all hitting me at once as this is the first autumn/winter I’ve had back in the office after Covid.

Le Tissier will be along soon to tell us that it is the Bubonic Plague caused by the government injecting microscopic black rats into us via the Covid jab, and that is why nurses are on strike, they want more money to keep quiet about it .... as do train drivers *
