Birminghams Bellingham sell on clause is 5% 14:28 - Dec 7 with 1977 viewshype313

That seems quite low to me, albeit if Bellingham does go for £150m odd it's still a decent chunk of money, but would've thought it would be more 15-20%.

Obviously good for us, as we wouldn't want Brum having huge funds to splash around when we are competing with them.

At the time I remember a lot of people thought he had been sold for far too much and so maybe the sell-on clause was negotiated in that way due to the original sale?

I think he has grown into a very good player because he is out of the English media glare. No doubt he gets attention over in Germany but I don’t think the media over here do young players any favours.

He should really stay aboard for at least another two seasons.

He'd quickly become one of the first names on the team sheet as he solves one of Liverpool's immediate problems. Not sure that would be the case with City, but you would think he'd be in safe hands with either manager, though I think he would flourish under Klopp.

PSG, Chelsea and United would be a waste. He doesn't deserve to deal with rabid Madrid fans either. I reckon Liverpool or like you say, stay put.

Liverpool won’t be able to afford him unless they get some serious new backer.
It’ll be one of three I reckon; Madrid PSG or Bayern.

He could have left Birmingham for nothing, but signed a contract so that they could get a big fee - so sure some give and take between his camp and Birmingham over where he wanted to go; and if that was Dortmund then they don't put big sell on fees because they effectively have prices written into contracts of different summers of when they can go and for how much so as to guarantee to be the stepping stone

I couldnt see Liverpool splashing £150m on a player. I doubt Klopp has that kind of transfer kitty. He'll go to City without doubt.

Not sure if it has really? They are very well stocked for midfielders and have a fantastic youth system too. And by some accounts are looking to come away from galactico level signings. Haaland was a steal but I think we all know why.
I think if Bellingham goes he will go to Bayern myself.

I suppose it will depend how quickly they can get that investment they are looking for. Sadly agree that those will be the favourites, and out of them I'd much prefer to see him at Bayern.

Having said that, they have splashed out when needs be - VVD and Alisson were very pricey for their position and a good few years ago now. It will depend on what is going on behind the scenes with this investment they're after. I'd agree it seems less plausible, but the media rumours don't ever seem to fully go away with it so I just have this gut feeling it might squeak through.

For me he would be better off going to Liverpool, they are crying out for a player like him, City are stacked in that area and he would be a bit part player.

That saying, Liverpool don't have the financial power that City do.

Can't see him going to Bayern, by all accounts he's keen to come home and Dortmund would much prefer to sell to an English club rather than Bayern.

That's cos he went to Man Utd. They seem to have a great knack of buying great players and turning them into underperformers.
