South Korea certainly created some good opportunities against Brazil last night, if they had scored 2 or 3 that wouldn’t have been underserved.

Indeed, the statistics for possession and passing were much closer than a 4-1 scoreline suggests. There again, anyone who watched the game will have seen that Brazil were not playing at full tilt whereas Korea were. Still, England's win over Senegal was more comfortable than many expected and the squad has a strength in depth as good as any other. France are full of talent but they also have the potential for Keystone Cops defending and comedy goalkeeping as was seen at the end of the first half against Poland. Here's hoping that Southgate will put out a forward line that will really test Lloris.

Have to say I thought Poland really got at France at times on Sunday and the scoreline flattered France to a certain extent. Great finishes by Mbappe notwithstanding.

France v Brazil final then. on 11:05 - Dec 6 with 1593 views | Vaughan8 | This Brazil side struggled against the swiss in the groups. Yes they looked good last night but No1 else is going to be as open as Korea were or they'll get the same outcome Also a soft penalty always helps. I'm not convinced Brazil (or France) are as good as the media and themselves think they are.

I thought at one point that Ally McMoist was going to drown in his own drool.

Yeah, was surprised at that because he's normally a good commentator. Korea's tactics were crazy though, you can count the number of teams on one hand who could go toe-to-toe with Brazil and realistically come out on top and they're not anywhere near that list.

It's a rule of the World Cup that every commentator has to be as sycophantic towards Brazil as possible, however they are playing.

Very similar to 2014 where Brazil had a relatively easy ride to the semi finals and commentators were waxing lyrical constantly about them....then Germany spanked them 7-1. This Brazil team is clearly much better than that one, but I'm looking forward to seeing them tested.
