Finally worked out who Humphreys reminds me of... 15:41 - Dec 14 with 1719 viewsEwan_Oozami

in terms of being left-footed, the way he carries himself and controls the ball, makes passes and shoots at goal.....

Liam Brady...

You are the obsolete SRN4 to my Fairey Rotodyne....

...and if he can score goals like this one, then he'll do just fine by me:

We'll be fine as long as nobody puts Roger Osborne in their team to play against him, then!

I think Humphreys is a cracking player, and think there is a fair chance for him to become as good as, say, Darren Ambrose, and play in the Prem.

He reminds me of Matt Richards.

If he is half the player Brady was, he’s in for one heck of a career.

I saw him play a good few times in his prime and there weren’t to many players around better than Liam Brady. He could take a team apart on his own.

Those left footers are sneaky.

He reminds me of Matt Richards.

Matt Richards was unfairly targeted by idiots. Not the greatest player but better than some players who have got a much easier ride.

Despite the Spurs goal, it’s his passing I remember most. With that left foot he could pick a player out from anywhere. When you played Arsenal, he was the threat. Tough little so and so too.

I went to the Highbury game in late 1978. It was cold. Brady took us to the cleaners and we lost 4-1.
