Evri. on 14:16 - Dec 14 with 1929 views | BiGDonnie | Ah mate, absolute bunch of t*ssers. Ordered a watch from wowcher. Didn't show. Contacted Evri and they confirmed it had got 'lost on the delivery to me', aka someone at Evri stole it. Didn't offer any form of solution or compensation. Luckily the vendor is resending a new one. Will never use them again.

Evri. on 14:49 - Dec 14 with 1858 views | mutters | They used to be ok, and were one of the early delivery companies that would pick up from your home. Nowadays everybody is at it, and even the Royal Mail are competitive with their prices and collection. As I run a side hustle (retro gaming) i post a lot of items over the course of the year. Don't touch them any more.

Evri. on 15:22 - Dec 14 with 1814 views | HARRY10 | Simple, don't use them. Last year I bought some stuff from an auction site. They sent the stuff via one of these Mickey Mouse companies (APC), who left a card in the garden, while I was in the house. I contacted the local depot and agreed that my stuff would be delivered some time on the Fridays. No show. Contacted the local depot Monday only to be told the goods had been returned. I quoted the name I spoke to and when, to be told she was on holiday that week. Contacted the auctioneers who said I would have to pay again for delivery, and yes they would be using the same delivery company. Contacted my bank, quoted the law and after a couple of weeks got a full refund from auctioneers.* Now I always ask who is delivering. Any Mickey Mouse company and I don't buy. While it might save the sellers a few pence on each item, I do wonder if they are aware of the hassle to the customer, the time wasted by themselves dealing with these problems and the loss of good will. * it is the sender who are liable for any failed delivery, as you have a contract with the person you bought the goods from

To reply to everyone at once: Yep J2 usual lass is excellent but uses her own car and can only do the regular small stuff. I ordered something a bit bigger (too big!) which arrived by van on Monday. I immediately put it back into the box and rang Lakeland who gave me a label to print and booked the return in for yesterday with Evri. (Not my choice Harry!). They sent an email with a window but just didn't show up. Rang Lakeland and they rebooked for today. Nothing. No email, no show. No number to call; it's automated, emailed them but they were unhelpful. Someone's 'looking into it'. Looking into what? They know where I live, just come and get the fecking thing. It's not hard.

Had similar with Royal Mail before I headed off on my latest work trip. I had a parcel due, which I got emails at the end of the day saying they attempted to deliver but there was nobody at the property, bollax! At the same time I had a collection due, it was a bit awkward so I paid the additional fee for RM to come and collect it, exactly the same story. I ended up taking it myself because I was going away. I perhaps wouldn't have minded if they say we're sorry, it's been really busy and we couldn't get to you, but instead it's your fault, you weren't there. Added to by the process of rebooking, essentially start from scratch each time. No wonder RM lose a million quid a day or whatever it is.

They seem to be the provider for free delivery option on things that I've bought. They must be taking a hit and so overpromise and underdeliver. I'm surprised suppliers still use them due to the risk of reputational damage. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Evri. on 19:31 - Dec 14 with 1469 views | Chondzoresk | Useless tw@ts. I wouldn’t cross the road to p1ss on them if Evri was on fire. If I send anything I’ll not use them, even if they were the last courier company on Earth. Safe to say I have had issues with the idiots.
Evri. on 14:16 - Dec 16 with 1233 views | jeera | 3rd attempt to return item this week. Email: 9:18 am "Your courier estimates they’ll collect your Lakeland Returns parcel between 12:00 and 13:00 today." Email: 9:28 am "Your local courier tried to deliver your Lakeland Returns parcel today but you weren't in."
