I’m thinking 87 points tally 23:51 - Feb 14 with 1449 viewsBobsthename

I don’t think that will give us autos so i’m thinking who do we want in the play offs or who do we think we could beat in the play off semis?
Maybe Derby at home second leg trailing 1-1 we then draw at home only to lose on penalties.
That would be the story of our season.
Derby beating Barnsley in the final.

I'm thinking the limp-fisted f##kers getting about 70 points and on the beach by mid-May.

Wow that would be a disaster of a season one that would surely end Mckenna here.

I think if the season ended now, we would be 4th favourites to go up. At the moment, I don't relish playing any of the teams up there, especially in a high pressured two leg play off.

If automatics have gone, which they haven't mathematically, but probably realistically, we really need to use the rest of the season to play ourselves into a bit of form while keeping a settled side as much as humanly possible.

Unfortunately I can't yet see us getting 87 points.

People had hoped the draw on sat was going to be give us a boost. Its like we drew with and Oxford. We walked into tonight's game with tails between our legs.

a niche perspective

The problem is that is is ofeften the in dorm team who win the pay offs.

We have picked up 9 points from 21, and lord knows it could be less if we had not played Morecambe.

If we continue like this I have a dreaded fear that we might find ourselves out of the play offs come May

With a bit of luck we’ll put the in dorm team to bed.

We could be out of the PO spots by the end of Feb, never mind May. If Derby, Barnsley and Wycombe were to win their games in hand we’re effectively down to 6th now and only 4 points above Wycombe in 7th.

An upturn’s desperately needed and soon.

It’s concerning because those sides around us are starting to grind out the wins quite consistently, where we continue to flatter to deceive. If anything we appear to be heading in the wrong direction with our form, while those other sides are starting to get themselves on a roll just at the right time. 4 wins in 15 tells its own story and what’s more it wasn’t so long ago we had a substantial points lead on those chasing sides and now that’s been swallowed up and spat out.

I just hope we can wrestle a bit of momentum back, we were averaging over 2 points a game, which Plymouth and Wednesday have maintained, we have fallen off a cliff

However, there's still a chance to turn it round, hopefully we will learn from these mistakes and come out the right end of it

The next 4 games are now or never really, we have to be taking 12 points from them

The top 2 has gone for me, I was pretty confident we’d finish in the Play Off places, but the way Wycombe are starting to get results, incredibly we are starting to look over our shoulders at a club in 7th spot, where only a few weeks ago the team in 3rd was our main concern. There’s little doubt we have a very decent squad for L1, but there’s clearly something going on which is causing this malfunction. Like you mention, the momentum is something we’ve lost over the last few months and we need to get back and quickly. The way we played last night was very much like performances under Paul Lambert. No cutting edge, possession football without being brave on the ball and all one paced.

Let’s hope KM can sort this out and fast.

Today as it stands based on form over a third of the season, I’m not seeing us make more than 85 points. Based on the form, the points total is likely to be more like 75 unless something massive changes. Not aimed to be negative, more realistic, more a rallying call for fans to get behind and be the 12 man because the players need lifting unbelievable as it is. They are quite bereft of ideas and confidence in certain games.
