Coleman: It's a Circus 8th Mar 2023 09:31
Accrington manager John Coleman hit out at the “circus” whenever his team faces big clubs in League One following their 3-0 defeat to the Blues at Portman Road, believing his side don't get a “fair crack of the whip” from officials. 45

Just watched the highlights, there isn't a clearer straight red than that.

Yes of course its a red he rushes out of his area to make sure the foul would not mean a penalty . Coleman know this of course his comments are just trying to deflect from a luke warm effort from his team .

Indeed.
Thought the officials were of the usual league 1 standard we’ve come to expect but the referee got the sending off spot on from where we were and he also gave the Accrington centre half the benefit of the doubt on more than one occasion as he practically wrestled Freddie in the first half.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Crikey, he's trotted out every excuse in the book there! At what point were WE timewasting?!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

He might have been referring to Donacien, who took a bit of time to take a throw-in towards the end of 90 minutes, when we were 2-0 up. We then scored a third a couple of minutes later. I don't think Coleman properly thought this through.

I was at Accrington earlier in the season when they could easily have had three red cards. Two of which were shocking challenges on Evans. An assault on Davis as well by us near the corner.

Coleman moaned then that he was hard done by.

Last night they were totally outplayed, it was a clear red (some people seem to moan about how far the ball gets from the player in these situations - a clue - it's because the player has been fouled and can't run alongside the ball) and he's still moaning again.

I admire Fleetwood, Cheltenham, Morecambe who punch above their weight and have no issue with them timewasting or even trying to gain the odd dark arts advantage, because they are really up against it, but Accrington, from Coleman, the tedious Andy Hunt and some of the thugs they have had playing for them over the last few years - are very unlikeable.

He’s muddled up indecision with time wasting. We often take half an hour to take throw-ins, even when chasing the game!

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
