Having massive debts along with a lot of other clubs i wonder how secure our club is iknow we have new owners and a big backer for now but how long will this last ? If they were to withdraw how would that sit with us could we survive could we be sold easily? |  | | |  |

well if we dont get promoted I expect they will pull the money out and close the club
that will mean the council can forfeit the current lease and I've heard the land at Portman Road has already been earmarked for development as a massive East of England immigrant processing hub with all the small boats being directed up the Orwell straight to a new jetty to be build in a cutting next to ground
playford road will be sold off with plans to develop it is a new hi tech sewage processing facility
So I wouldnt worry too much if we get get the results we need in the coming weeks [Post edited 31 Mar 2023 12:28]

You do realise that we do not have debt?
The investors have put the money into the club in the form of equity.
The good news is that investment is improving us as a team and commercial business, which would make us an attractive purchase WHEN the current owners sell their stake. They have been very clear that this will happen but not for a number of years, when the value of the club is much higher than they invested. | | | |

A fact would be stating the debt that actually exists rather than stating that we don't have any debt when we obviously do.
I'm not worried in the least about our financial position, and I don't think there's any reason to worry. But surely we do have debt. Unless others have seen more recent accounts than those which are publicly available? |  | | |
