Gutted for Paul Cook on 20:00 - May 13 with 1275 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | Really don’t get the Paul Cook love-in on here. He was just another mediocre Town manager a managerial dinosaur with his pub mates as coaches and tactics scribbled on the back of a fag packet. He was I suppose less of an @rse than Hurst, Keane and Lambert.

Maybe he likes him? Who knows. Dobra was with us for about 6-7 times longer, but not many (0 so far) people are saying they feel sorry for him. I’m struggling to understand it all tbh!

He had the best octave shift in post-match pressers of any of our managers, I’ll have you know! As presser tricks went I genuinely preferred it to Keane’s pathetic stare. I don’t wish him ill, but yes the defence of him is a little odd given how poor he was and his short term. [Post edited 13 May 2023 20:39]

Look I felt really let down by Cook A Wigan mate who’s big in their supporters group swore Cook was a savvy football guy. But ultimately he failed us… and I think needed a good number two. That’s where his success had come from. But Cook gave us a few really good performances, Wycombe and Pompey away for example, and critically he cleared out a terrible squad and brought in some real quality. And critically he brought in Sam Morsy who has been the true catalyst of our transformation [Post edited 14 May 2023 0:49]

I’ve nothing against the bloke. Cook tried his best and he identified some good players. I wish him well. However he was a poor fit for what this club was looking to do after the takeover. He had to go.
