The Rainbow Map and Index has ranked all 49 European nations on their “legal and policy situation” with regards to LGBTQ+ rights since 2009. The UK used to consistenly hold first position but in recent years has plummeted down the rankings, to 17th in this year.

Mate of mine is an out-for-many years gay woman. She's very much of the old-skool 'lady lorry' lorry driver look and more than once now she's been threatened and/or physically intimidated when using the ladies toilet. | |

Absolutely, and as I have said before on TWTD, I doubt in the current climate whether it would be possible, say, to enact gay marriage if it were not already the law.
We are regressing, not progressing, on so many social issues, just like the US, but at least in the States the Democrats are prepared to stand and fight, unlike the Labour Party, which is keeping its head down. [Post edited 10 Jun 2023 10:34]

The joke isn't aimed at the kids, it's aimed at the teachers.
