This is on the ‘General’ filter. If you are not interested or plain don’t want to see it, you can click ‘football’ on the above and hey presto, it’ll disappear.

She doesn't even seem that bothered with trying to demonstrate why she deserves an honour, it's just the pure sense of entitlement that was Boris Johnson's main legacy as PM.

As a (perhaps naive) kid, I used to think that politicians were people from the apex of the social spectrum - decent, honest, noble folk who did what they thought was best for the country and honoured the concept of democracy, sharing a handshake and a "well done" with their opponents, win or lose, hoping that their ideology might come good next time around. These days I think they are, on the whole, irresponsible, self-interested, deceitful scum. Even those who aren't out-and-out klepto-morons, are not facing up to the future and making politically risky, but selfless and necessary policy decisions and being honest with the public. It's a crumbling facade of democracy and nobody is taking responsibility to change the system in an adapt or die situation.

From a historical perspective, the latter description has more often been the norm. Altho there was, in the main, more of a sense of duty and a responsibility to build the country up rather than sacrificing everything to personal interest. Certainly most avoided doing it so openly. Recently we seem to have been lumbered with either the completely self-centred or ideologues who are not half as clever as they think. To be fair, the current lot hold a terrible hand (in part because of cards they themselves have thrown away), but also seem to be inept at playing the game. Or they just don't care, because it's all about getting paid and "sticking it to the libs", whatever that means outside of a primary school playground.

They're a Tory bootlicker. They're not renowned for their brains. [Post edited 14 Jul 2023 12:21]

Ha ha. The desperation of Dorries… on 14:34 - Jul 14 with 1208 views | HARRY10 | the odious Dorries has rarely been seen in the chamber since last summer. her constituency office has been closed for over a year, and those asked said the never saw her in the constituency. So where is the elongated absurdity that is the stick insect with his ' back behind the desk' nonsense ? Why, if he isn't down the corridor from Dorries. Not Parliament but the William Joyce memorial broadcaster - kGB Vews. It makes the thought they are in it to help themselves all too blatant. I suspect Dorries is using the "where's my peerage' merely as a means to string out her time as an MP. With about a week to go and nothing then happening until Parliament re-opens in Sept, then closes for the conference season this freeloader can string this out till late autumn. And there is the rub. Much of Parliamentary behaviour is run on a 'gentlemens agreement', with little recourse to deal with the behaviour of lowlife such as Dorries and Johnson.
