Growing more surprised by the day that Bristol Rovers still haven't had a bid for him. Barton is talking about £4m plus.
Not suggesting we should get him at all, but it makes the money spent by Cov on Simms seem exceptionally high. I'm just really surprised he's still at Rovers.
I suspect that you have answered your question. AC is not worth £4m. Prior to last season he had scored 50 goals in 220 games at L2 level or non-league.
Similar (not playing style) to Cole Stockton, lower league forwards who have a good season or two later in their careers.
I like Aaron Collins. Think he is decent little player. Could he play on the championship. Probably. Would he excel: doubtful and nowhere near the evidence to take a £4 million punt.
He's 26 not an upcoming 19 year old. His record at Bristol Rovers is 1 in 3 goals (one season L1 and one season L2). Prior to that in League at FGR he was 1 in 5. He is more than just goals of course. Lots of assists.
I think his next move would be a step up in L1. A Derby or a Peterborough would be ideal. They won't pay that sort of money. His value would be closer to £1 mil with decent and ons.
Good player. Completely disagree putting Collins above Simms. Simms has a much higher ceiling, has scored goals on the Champ and Prem and is much younger so much more re-sale potential over a longer period.
Collins is 26 and has played in L2 for most of his career. Anyone paying £4m for him would need their head testing. We wasted enough money (wages wise) on Pigott.

Like I said in the OP. Not suggesting we go for him. Just surprised no one else has.
