Not a clue what's going on but there's a lot of whistling!

My daughter played netball in her teens, and I had to take her to games.

I came to the conclusion that it is one of the the dullest spectator sports there is.

I’d beg to differ.

When played well, it’s a very fast-paced game with a lot of skill.

There are a lot of rules, which can lead it to be a bit whistle-happy…. But if your technique is correct, you won’t fall foul of them.

Why did the kiwi commentator keep calling it "knit-ball"?

Very popular in the 90s at school, haven’t heard of it since, kind of like acid rain in that regard.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Great result for the Roses, shame that tomorrow's final clashes with the Town game.

Oh I don't doubt it is a skilful game, and my daughter played at county level, it's just that I came to the conclusion it is a better game to play than to watch. Maybe it's the slightly stop/start nature of it, but I also don't enjoy basketball as a spectator sport.

It seemed like it a given we score, they score continuum. I lost concentration for a moment and suddenly we were a couple of points up and it was all us as NZ fell apart.

Well done, England, but it does seem I would need to know the rules to enjoy watching.

That's because the underlying issues which caused acid rain were mitigated to a large degree.

Hopefully we can do the same with other issues.
